Developers use the proven game creation tool Punkland Studio to create new games that players connect to through their browser. Developers can choose to add functionality to their games through NFTs on a variety of blockchains. Players sign into Punkland using a wallet, such as MetaMask or WalletConnect. Games can be developed to check these wallets for the presence of NFTs.
Developers can also create their own NFTs as in-game items. When a player takes the NFT out of in-game storage and into NFT storage, it is minted on the blockchain. It can then be uploaded to OpenSea directly from the Punkland interface.
In the video of the demo game above, you can see that the player character receives an NFT item from an NPC. That player then moves the item from the game’s storage to their NFT storage. From there, the player can view and manage the item under their “My NFTs” page.
Let’s take a look at how easy it is for developers to create this kind of interaction in Punkland on the next page.
